Jim has been serving as the President of Texas Legal Protection Plan since
November 1, 2007. Prior to joining TLPP, Jim was employed by the Orange County Employees Retirement System from October 1992 to October 2007. During Jim’s tenure at OCERS he served in a number of executive and managerial positions. In April of 2004, Jim was appointed as the Assistant Chief Executive Officer of External Operations of the Orange County Employees Retirement System, having previously served as Chief Operations Officer since December 1999. He also served as the Human Resources Manager and in numerous capacities in the Member Services Department. Jim has nearly 25 years of experience in the field of Human Resources and Benefits Administration; his career began as a Personnelman in the United States Navy. Jim has a Master's Degree in Management with an emphasis in Human Resources Management from the University of Redlands and a Bachelor's Degree (magna cum laude) in Public Administration from the University of La Verne.

Reasa Ballou

Finance Director

Resea joined Texas Legal Protection Plan in September 2006. Prior to joining TLPP, She spent fourteen years with public accounting firms providing businesses with accounting, audit and tax services. Reasa is responsible for managing the organizations financial policies, accounting practices and maintenance of financial records. Reasa earned her Master’s degree in Professional Accounting from Georgia State University. She is a licensed CPA in the State of Texas and member of the Texas Society of CPA's.

Jocelyn Petty

Administrative and Member Services Director

Jocelyn has been employed at TLPP since 2007 as the Administrative and Member Services Director and she serves as the Secretary of the TLPP Board. She supervises all of the Administrative, Member Services and Attorney Services Staff of TLPP. Jocelyn is responsible for the daily operations of the organization as well as ensuring that the benefits of the Plan are properly administered. Jocelyn has over thirteen years of experience in the human resources/staffing industry. She is a member of the Austin Human Resource Management Association (AHRMA), Society For Human Resource Management (SHRM) and American Prepaid Legal Services Institute (API). Jocelyn is currently working towards obtaining her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification.

Amy Fredrickson

Amy Fredrickson

Marketing Director

Amy has over 12 years of experience in business development. Prior to joining Texas Legal Protection Plan in March 2009, she worked for such staffing firms as LK Jordan & Associates, Randstad and Robert Half International. During her tenure in the staffing industry, she held positions in sales management, recruiting, branch management, client development and vendor services management. She served as the Membership Chair for the Austin Contact Center Alliance from 2007-2008, and is an active member of the Austin Human Resources Management Association (AHRMA), Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), American Prepaid Legal Services Institute (API) and the Austin Chamber of Commerce. Amy attended the Conservatory of Theater Arts at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri from 1990-1992. She is currently attending Columbia Southern University, where she is completing her Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing.
